These records revealed Siad to be among Epstein’s most devoted correspondents throughout their relationship. He maintained regular contact with the financier until several months before Epstein’s death in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges.

Siad’s extensive travels took him across continents as he sought potential models. He visited villages throughout eastern Europe and made flights to destinations including Cuba and Sweden. His mission involved sourcing women for the modeling industry while simultaneously identifying those he believed Epstein might wish to encounter. In a 2014 email to Epstein, Siad likened his efforts to fishing, noting that patience was essential: “In This busyness I feel like fisherman some time I cache (sic) quick, some time no fish.”

Professional Connections and Financial Arrangements

Beyond his work with Epstein, Siad maintained strong connections within the modeling establishment. He served as a commission-based scout for Jean-Luc Brunel, who operated as a prominent agent across Paris, New York, and Miami for over forty years. Brunel took his own life in prison during February 2022 after spending fourteen months in custody. He faced charges of raping minors and sexual harassment, which he denied alongside any involvement in Epstein’s sex trafficking operations.

The Epstein files indicated that Siad received regular wired payments, apparently covering expenses incurred during his travels to locate women. His emails to Epstein provided detailed information about the young women he was recruiting. In one 2009 message, he wrote: “Slovakia is the place to be,” mentioning forty-five women available to view. He also promised Epstein: “I will make you a great surprise when you come to Paris.”

Rape Allegations and Legal Response

Earlier this year, former Swedish model Ebba Karlsson brought forward rape accusations against Siad. She claimed he scouted her in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1990 when she was twenty years old, and subsequently raped her in France. Karlsson noted that Siad used a different name at that time and that she only recognized him after seeing photographs in reports about the Epstein files. She had no direct interactions with Epstein herself.

Karlsson filed criminal complaints for rape and human trafficking against Siad in Paris. Siad’s Paris-based attorney, Ménya Arab-Tigrine, stated that his client denied the allegations. Following news of Siad’s death, Karlsson expressed her reaction to AFP, describing the situation as “very frustrating.” She added: “He was very close to be arrested. We worked so hard for this, trying to have justice.”

Email Correspondence Reveals Daily Operations

The preserved email exchanges between Siad and Epstein demonstrate their regular communication pattern. Epstein’s messages were characteristically brief, posing questions such as “wht about new girls?”, “Any news”, “anything worth coming to paris for?” or “Any interesting women?” The women were frequently identified by nationality rather than personal names. In June 2014, Epstein wrote: “I am in ny, is the swedish girl here?” Sometimes his responses consisted of a single word: “age?”

Siad frequently highlighted the youthful appearance of women he found for Epstein. On one occasion he wrote: “26 but she look 18.” He continued working for Epstein as recently as 2016, sending a message from Barcelona: “Call me if you have time I am in Barcelona. With amazing Beauty.”

Siad, who identified himself as French-born with Algerian heritage and Swedish citizenship, told France TV earlier this year that Epstein had betrayed his trust. He stated he had not been “in a position to know that this man was dangerous.” In an emailed statement to the Guardian in February, Siad explained his perspective on his work: “He had a big apartment where he used to organise all his meetings, including casting for models I recruited, for Victoria’s Secret and MC2.” He emphasized that “The casting time would not last more than 10 minutes. I always left the place with the models immediately.”
