“Some people are saying that SpaceX will build up the land here and save us but most of the people I’ve spoken to are against all this,” Broussard explained. “It’s all Trumpers on Pecan Island but people aren’t for this. We are probably doomed, with all the storms coming. But my thing is that we should be allowed to go in peace. The people who continue to live there despite the peril deserve better.”
