Murder Charge Over Primrose Hill Stabbing

A 21-year-old man, Finbar Sullivan, has been charged with murder after being fatally stabbed in Primrose Hill. The incident occurred near a viewing spot in north London on Tuesday, leaving the community in shock. The Metropolitan Police revealed that Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, from Southbury Road in Enfield, was arrested on Friday and formally accused of the crime on Sunday.

Ogunyankinnu is set to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man, initially detained on suspicion of aiding the perpetrator, has been released without further charges. The police emphasized that the investigation remains active, with more details expected as it progresses.

Victim’s Background

Sullivan, who was studying film at the London Screen Academy, was remembered by loved ones as a bright and influential figure. His father, Chris Sullivan, 65, shared his grief with BBC London, describing his son as “the light, the leader” among friends and family. “His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,” he said.

Injured Individual

Another man in his early 20s was also found with stab wounds on Regent’s Park Road nearby. He was hospitalized, but medical assessments indicated his injuries were not severe or permanently debilitating. The incident has sparked questions about the circumstances surrounding the attack.
